Solvang and Santa Ynez Valley The Santa Ynez Valley is a picturesque region located in Southern California, roughly 30 miles north of Santa Barbara. The valley is composed of five unique towns: Santa Ynez, Solvang, Los Olivos, Buellton, and Los Alamos. Solvang is a Danish-inspired town, known for its windmills and half-timbered buildings.
